Ability Awareness Day- Delaney and Avery
Hi this is Delaney and Avery and were bloggers of the week. And we are going to talk about ability awareness. In the first picture we were learning about kids with Autism and what it's like to communicate like they do. We played lots of games were we have to use our bodies to talk.
In our next two pictures we learned about replacement legs and arms for people who unfortunately don't have one. A boy AJ shared about his leg. Everyone was impressed that he could press a button on his fake leg and make it spin in circles! Now that's impressive.
In our fourth picture a lady taught us that many famous people had disabilities such as Walt Disney had Dyslexic. And Thomas Jefferson had it to. In our last picture we learned sign language. Like if you wanted to take a shower or bath you would rub you chest with your hands in a fist position. Also if you wanted more of something you would tap the tops of your fingertips together.Well that's it for now.Thank you for reading our blog. Have a great weekend! Bye!
