Messages of Hope

Today we visited Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital with our buddies to deliver coloring books, stickers, crayons, glue, and other scrapbooking materials that Long had collected over the passed week.  These items will be used by children that are patients at the hospital.

We also took our "Message of Hope" to the hospital and placed them in a treasure box under a giant Christmas tree. "Message of Hope" is a program the hospital began last year.  People can write a short note to patients and caregivers in the hospital to let them know you are thinking about them.  Their goal is to get over 200,000 messages this year!

After we dropped off the messages, we learned a little history of the hospital and got to play on the new playground built for young patients.  It was a wonderful and meaningful trip!

Weathering Walk

In Science we are studying Rocks, Weathering, and Erosion.  While the weather was nice we took a walk in Crestwood Park to find signs of Weathering and Erosion.  Students worked in groups and used their own devices to take pictures of what they found.  They also took notes.  When we returned to the classroom, students presented different forms of weathering and erosion they found!
