Our Goals and Mission Statements

We finalized our class mission and each student set a goal for the year. They chose a word to describe what they want to focus on this year, a quote about their word, and a personal goal statement. The class even decided on a class hashtag (two actually!) to use this year.  This class is such a sweet group! They keep stealin' my heart everyday! #DonzeDreamers #wemakeadifference

First Days Back!

We had a great first few days of school! A STEM partner activity and goal setting were two things we worked on. So much more to come this year!

Field Day

Check out our AWESOME field day! We had such a fun day playing games and being silly :) 

Daniel Boone Field Trip

What a beautiful day for a field trip! Today we had a terrific day at the Daniel Boone home.  Students saw a one room school house, toured Daniel Boone's home, saw a carpenter and learned how to cut wood, and finally students made candles!  Great day!

Bubble Bus and Ice Cream

Today we had fun with the ice cream truck and Bubble Bus celebrating the end of the year! Students enjoyed ice cream, bubbles, and dancing on this beautiful afternoon!

Literacy Festival

What a great day of literacy learning! We heard from a comic book illustrator and author, Jeff Weigel. Students learned how creating and illustrating a comic book happens. Then we heard from St. Louis author, Dan Killeen.  He showed us how his life, growing up, helped inspire his children's books.  We also heard about the Summer Reading program from the St.  Louis County Public Library.  Students can read and earn prizes all summer at the library!  Then students read books that each class published and picked out a book to keep.  Such a fun way to start May!
