What a great day of literacy learning! We heard from a comic book illustrator and author, Jeff Weigel. Students learned how creating and illustrating a comic book happens. Then we heard from St. Louis author, Dan Killeen. He showed us how his life, growing up, helped inspire his children's books. We also heard about the Summer Reading program from the St. Louis County Public Library. Students can read and earn prizes all summer at the library! Then students read books that each class published and picked out a book to keep. Such a fun way to start May!
