Acts of Kindness!- Iris, Lauren, Ashlynn

We have some AMAZING students in our classroom!  Read what a few members of our class have been doing to help others!

Hi! I'm Iris Allen. One thing I did to help Long is the Buddy Benches. I thought of buddy benches so kids could make friends easier. This is how the work. First, a kid sits on the benches. Then, another kid comes over to play with them. That way, everyone can have someone to play with. Last week, people poured concrete, and I got to put my hands in it. Next time you're at Long, come check it out!

Hi! We're Ashlynn and Lauren we raised money for the school playground. Our friend Sarah Vasel set up the play. We raised $115, the play was called the Murder Marrage Mystery. We did this with a hard working group, for kids it was $3 and for parents it was $5 we made sure there would be no mistake and there was drinks and food for after. We had so much fun! Hope you like our story.

Bubble Gum Lab- Jack and Iris's Blog

Hi! This is Jack and Iris. Our class just did an experiment with bubble gum. We measured how many chomps we could do in thirty seconds, and then divided the numbers to find the speed.

After that, we measured how many chomps we could do in a minute, and mark the number of chomps at certain times. Then we calculated the number of chomps per second.

Measurement Art - Grace, Ashlynn, and Briley's Blog

Hi! We're Ashlynn, Grace, and Briley. Right now we are doing measurement art. We have information about how long things are and we draw them that length. After we need to color our measurement art.  We can draw a house (which most people are doing), a day on the beach or a city.  Aaron says "I think it is cool. It is challenging but fun." Audrey thinks "I think it's a very good activity, and it's fun too. It's made for people to put a lot of creativity into it." We say "BYE!"
