This is Hallie and Luke this weeks bloggers. This week we learned about similes and metaphors. Here is a example of a simile . I am as lazy as a turtle. It does not mean I am as lazy as a turtle. Here is a example of a metaphor. I am dead to the world when I sleep. Does not mean I am dead it means I sleep heavenly. Like your dead to the world if you sleep through the thunder storm last night. The class made cool flip books that describes similes and metaphors about us like the ones down here.👇🏻

Hi My name is Elizabeth I am this weeks blogger.In writing we are currently writing Realistic fiction. We are developing seed story's and will publish them on the computer. We have some really great ideas and we have made many drafts. Everyone is so excited.

Our Goals and Mission Statements

We finalized our class mission and each student set a goal for the year. They chose a word to describe what they want to focus on this year, a quote about their word, and a personal goal statement. The class even decided on a class hashtag (two actually!) to use this year.  This class is such a sweet group! They keep stealin' my heart everyday! #DonzeDreamers #wemakeadifference

First Days Back!

We had a great first few days of school! A STEM partner activity and goal setting were two things we worked on. So much more to come this year!
