Donze's Details 9-12-14

Another great week!  This week we focused on making our realistic fiction stories more exciting.  We discussed "Ba Da Bing" sentences that help students come up with sentences that show the reader how their character is feeling.   We also learned how to correctly write dialogue.  Dialogue is another way students can develop their characters and add interest.  Students are doing a great job!

Please note:
  • We will have a chapter 2 math test on Thursday.  The review pages are being sent home today.
  • Students will earn extra credit if they complete these pages and turn them in on or before the test.  This is OPTIONAL.
  • New spelling lists were given out this week.  There is a different test day for each group.  The dates are:
  • Blue Group ~ Friday, Sept. 19
  • Green Group~ Monday, Sept. 22
  • Yellow Group ~Tuesday, Sept. 23
  • Early Release is next Wednesday, September 17.  Please make sure your child knows where they will be going at dismissal.  Thank you!

Clara and Charlie I. Blog

Hi this is Charlie I. and Clara S. This is our blog about writing on desks in math. It was a leap day and we were VERY surprised when we heard we were going to write on our desks. We were learning addition property's. Mrs.Donze asked us a question on the board and we wrote on our desks the answer. Now do not tell the leap kids!  It was hard to get off with an eraser, but we used a wipe to get the rest of it off. I wish we could do this every day! Well, that's all! Good bye!
